By using the Studio X Salon Suites website, booking platform, or services, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
About Studio X
Studio X Salon Suites is a salon suite rental facility at 3587 Hennepin Dr, Joliet, IL 60431. We provide private salon suites to licensed independent beauty professionals and an online platform through which clients can discover and book appointments with those stylists.
Studio X is a facility and platform provider, not a salon. The stylists who rent suites at Studio X are independent business owners. Studio X does not employ stylists, direct their work, set their prices, or guarantee the quality of their services.
Booking Appointments
When you book an appointment through our platform:
- You are entering into a direct service agreement with the individual stylist, not with Studio X.
- Studio X acts solely as a booking facilitator and is not a party to the service agreement.
- You acknowledge that service quality, outcomes, and any disputes are between you and the stylist.
- You agree to provide accurate contact information so the stylist can reach you regarding your appointment.
Payments and Deposits
Some stylists require a deposit or full payment at booking to confirm your appointment. All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By submitting payment information, you authorize the applicable charge to your card.
Deposit and refund terms are set by each individual stylist. Studio X does not control or guarantee refund outcomes. Please review the cancellation policy on your stylist's profile before booking.
Cancellations
Cancellation policies are set by individual stylists and displayed on their profile pages at the time of booking. Studio X is not responsible for cancellation fees charged by stylists. If a stylist cancels your appointment, you will receive a notification and any applicable refund per that stylist's policy.
Independent Contractor Relationship
All stylists at Studio X are independent contractors. Nothing in these Terms creates an employment, agency, joint venture, or partnership relationship between Studio X and any stylist. Studio X does not supervise, direct, or control the professional services rendered by stylists.
Limitation of Liability
Studio X Salon Suites is not liable for:
- The quality, safety, or outcome of any beauty services performed by stylists
- Any personal injury, property damage, or allergic reactions arising from services
- Any disputes between clients and stylists
- Loss of data, interruption of service, or errors on our platform
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Studio X's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the appointment in question.
Prohibited Conduct
- Providing false or misleading information
- Attempting to circumvent our booking system to avoid payments
- Harassing, threatening, or abusing any stylist or Studio X staff
- Using our platform for any unlawful purpose
Intellectual Property
The Studio X name, logo, website, and platform are the property of Studio X Salon Suites. Stylists retain ownership of their portfolio photos and content. You may not reproduce or use Studio X's branding without written permission.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Will County, Illinois.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of our platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes by email.
